Among the decisions taken by the Council of Ministers on Wednesday 26 October, the government of Patrice Talon has decided to rehabilitate and redevelop several access roads and crossings in the city of Cotonou. A project that aims to make the economic capital more attractive.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Several roads in the city of Cotonou will be rehabilitated and redeveloped in the coming months. The announcement was made on Wednesday at the end of the Council of Ministers. According to the report given to media professionals, this involves bringing urban access roads and crossings of Cotonou in both directions up to standard, i.e. a total length of 64 km. This upgrading consists of resurfacing roads whose condition no longer offers the necessary comfort and does not allow users to move around freely. Therefore, once treated, these roads will be brought up to the standard of the paving project.<\/p>\n\n

The first section of these roads includes the following arteries: the old bridge – the Sobebra crossroads – the PK3 Ptt crossroads – the ”Le B\u00e9lier” crossroads, the third bridge – the Sobebra crossroads, the ”Place du Souvenir” – the 3 banks crossroads, the Saint Michel market crossroads – the Nasuba-Steinmetz overpass crossroads – the Notre-Dame crossroads, the 3 banks crossroads – the Air Afrique crossroads, the Air Afrique crossroads – the old bridge, the cheminot crossroads – the Steinmetz flyover.<\/p>\n\n

As far as the second section is concerned, it is centred around the following axes: Etoile Rouge – Unafrica crossroads – cheminot crossroads, Etoile Rouge – Saint Michel market crossroads, Godomey interchange – Mathieu K\u00e9r\u00e9kou stadium – Toyota crossroads, Toyota – Etoile Rouge crossroads, Toyota – Cadj\u00e8houn crossroads – Memorial square (place du souvenir), Customs airport – Memorial square crossroads.According to the government, the work will also consist of carrying out a study of the state of the premises, geo-referencing, mapping, drawing up tender documents, and controlling and supervising the work of replacing or rehabilitating gullies, manhole covers and gutter slabs in the five towns of Grand Nokou\u00e9.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
