The Higher Teacher Training School, Natitingou, hosted on Thursday 22 December 2022 the official launching of the initial training of secondary school teachers, contractual agents of public law of the state (acdpe). It takes into account throughout the country, 1739 teachers from the classes of 2012, 2014, 2016 and all other teachers who are late. It was the Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRS), El\u00e9onore Yayi Lad\u00e9kan and of Secondary Education, Technical and Vocational Training (MESTFP), Yves Kouaro who launched the proceedings.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In order to strengthen the pedagogical and intellectual capacities of secondary school teachers, the MESTFP has organised training leading to a diploma for certain categories of teachers in order to provide Benin’s high schools and colleges with teachers qualified in new teaching methods. “Through the official launching of this training, we have come to prove that we have not neglected the teachers, that we are still listening to their legitimate expectations and aspirations, and that we are concerned about their careers,” said Kouaro Yves Chabi, Minister for Secondary Education.<\/p>\n\n

According to the statistics he gave, a total of 1739 ACDPE teachers enter initial training for the BAPES, BAPET, CAPES and CAPET. At the ENS of Porto-Novo, there are 350 trainees for the BAPES and 319 for the CAPES. At the ENS of Natitingou and the University Centre of Dassa-Zoum\u00e8, there are 428 trainees for the BAPES and 247 for the CAPES. At ENSET in Lokossa, there are 277 trainees for the BAPET and 104 for the CAPET. At the INEPS in Porto-Novo, there are 14 trainees for the CAPES. To this number must be added all latecomers who have not completed their initial training.<\/p>\n\n

Thus, the beneficiaries of this training fall into two categories: Firstly, they are holders of an academic teaching degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Sciences and Chemistry, Mathematics, Life and Earth Sciences, from the classes of 2012, 2014, 2016 and other latecomers. And secondly, those declared ineligible for the 2008 reversal training. This last category includes ACDPE teachers from cohorts 1 to 6, who did not complete their training for various reasons (justified or not) or who completed their training and were rejected for insufficient work.<\/p>\n\n

“The planned training is perfectly in line with the missions of the Higher Teacher Training School (ENS) of Natitingou, which remains the only one to train teachers of Mathematics and Computer Science (MI), Physics, Chemistry and Technology (PCT) and Life and Earth Sciences (SVT),” said the Director of ENS Natitingou, Innocent Dj\u00e8gb\u00e8.<\/p>\n\n

“The planned training is perfectly in line with the missions of the Higher Teacher Training School (ENS) of Natitingou, which remains the only one to train teachers of Mathematics and Computer Science (MI), Physics, Chemistry and Technology (PCT) and Life and Earth Sciences (SVT),” said the Director of ENS Natitingou, Innocent Dj\u00e8gb\u00e8. Among other results expected from these eight days of work, we have the training on pedagogical skills, practical work and computer science of the ACDPs of the classes of 2012, 2014, 2016 and latecomers, holders of an academic bachelor’s degree or master’s degree; the mastery by each teacher of the academic contents of the discipline he\/she teaches (and this, independently of his\/her initial academic training) with regard to the rejected of the reversed of 2008<\/p>\n\n
