After the trial held on 26 January 2023, the verdict is finally known. Singer Aya Nakamura and her ex-husband Vladimir Boudnikoff were convicted of “mutual violence”.

In 2022 she and her husband, producer Vladimir Boudnikoff, had a big fight. As a result of the dispute, they were sentenced by the Bobigny correctional court to a heavier sentence than expected. Convicted, the famous French-speaking artist will have to pay a fine of 10,000 euros. As for his ex, he will have to pay a fine of 5,000 euros for “reciprocal violence against a spouse”.

On 26 January, during the trial, the prosecutor of the 12th chamber requested a fine of 5,000 euros for the famous artist and 2,000 for her ex-husband. Neither the lawyers nor the defendants were present for the deliberations. The lawyers will consult their clients to decide on a possible appeal.

During the trial, the ex-spouses returned to the events of the agitated night of 6-7 August 2022 in Rosny-sous-Bois, where they were living with their 6-month-old daughter. The dispute was caused by jealousy, but also by a wedding to which the famous singer was not invited, unlike her partner. A former companion of the producer was present at the celebration. The altercation was described as a mixture of throwing objects, shouting and physical violence which all took place in the basement music studio.

The French-speaking star Aya Nakamura confessed that she had slapped her ex-partner in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. Vladimir Boudnikoff, for his part, admitted to having lacked calm and patience, especially when Aya Nakamura returned later in the evening to collect some things, accompanied by two friends. The couple have since separated, but are keen to maintain a good relationship for the sake of their daughter, who was six months old at the time.

As a reminder, Aya Nakamura, of French-Malian origin, is a French-speaking singer. With the success of her albums, the star achieved the status of the most listened-to French-speaking singer in the world.
