The Ivorian singer Kerozen made a searing statement yesterday, Friday March 24 in reply to publications by the Community Manager of the Facebook page “Papa Ado”. Some Internet users felt that he had overreacted.
“Papa Ado” is a humorous Facebook page that caricatures the president of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire. Highly appreciated by Internet users, this page uses humor, satire and parody to tease Ivorian personalities, whether from the political, artistic or footballing world. In a series of posts, the page targeted Kerozen, attacking him for his absence from the music scene.
“Please Lord, take back the money you gave to Kerozen lately. He no longer makes us dance.
He seems to draw his inspiration from misery.”
Does Kerozen have a sense of humor or not?
At first, Kerozen seemed to take the publication with humor. The amusing comment he left under the article is proof of this.
“😅😅 jealous old man, is it because I didn’t sing your name in my songs? I will sing Opah Gbagbo, you will be frustrated”
But five days later, the singer of the songs Marijo, Mon heure a sonné, Le temps, L’Élu“, etc, made an unexpected publication. He expressed his indignation at Papa Ado’s publications about him. The singer obviously didn’t like the implication that he was uninspired. He even appealed to the HACA, the High Authority for Communication, as well as to the PLCC, the Platform for the Fight against Cybercrime for help, asking them to take their responsibilities.
“You, behind this page, I curse you. I curse your descendants. You want to use a popular page to cast aspersions on me? You will be confounded and you will feel it from your hole. I have done for 7 years, from 2016 to today, what no living artist of my generation has done. I say none, in all humility. Only hits by god’s grace. My constancy has become a topic of conversation, so jealousy has reached its peak. HACA, according to you High Authority of Communication, the Plcc- Platform of Fight Against Cybercrime you are sitting and watching? ok… Every soul will taste of death. Everyone is just waiting their turn (my honour is non-negotiable).

The artist had the support of some people who said that there is a limit to humour. On the other hand, several Internet users considered he overreacted given that Papa Ado is known for its humor.
Kerozen did not fail to respond as follows:
“Those who say it’s all joke and promo, I didn’t need that dog that runs this page (PAPA ADO) to be who I am. I worked, I worked hard. I repeat no artist of my generation (alive) has done what I have done from 2016 to today (hits, hits, hits) no you can chat in your living rooms but faha faha you know-“

He finally deleted the posts from his Facebook page but people are still relaying the information through screenshots.
The Community Manager of the page Papa Ado , as for him, does not seem to be fazed by all this. He continues to do what he does best: teasing. He has responded with a series of publications from yesterday to today.
“I love you baby, you’re stronger than Burna Boy, even Eminem knows that” reads, among other things, on his Facebook page.
