Nigerian senator and husband of actress Regina Daniels, Ned Nwoko, has spoken out about rumors surrounding the divorce of American TV host Steve Harvey. In a post on his Instagram account, he denied the information, which he described as “fake news”.

Renowned American comedian, author and host Steve Harvey has been making headlines on social networks and media in recent days.

According to a rumor that quickly went viral, he discovered that his wife Marjorie was having an extramarital affair with their security guard. She then reportedly filed for divorce, demanding half of his fortune : $200 million.

The story quickly took a disturbing turn on social networks. Many people take pleasure in mocking Steve Harvey because of his famous book “Act like a lady, think like a man”, in which he educates women on how to tame men.

On the other hand, some Internet users prefer to take the news with a grain of salt, waiting for it to be confirmed or denied by an official source.

Given the extent of this rumor, Ned Nwoko checked up on the couple. He then decided to set the record straight via Instagram. He revealed that he had personally contacted Steve Harvey to verify the authenticity of the information. According to him, the American couple, married since 2007, have not started divorce proceedings.

“Fake news has been taken to new heights all over the world and this is so unfortunate. We experience this practically everyday and so when we read about our friend Steve Harvey and his lovely wife having issues, we had to contact him and he confirmed that he and his wife are very much okay and it’s all fake news and should be disregarded. The family is happy together and we wish them all the best.”

Clearly, the Harvey family is in perfect harmony. Steve and Marjorie are still very much in love, so there’s no marital crisis.
