Célèbre boxeur Ghanéen, Joshua Clottey fait d’étonnantes confidences sur sa vie. Il révèle avoir laissé les bancs très tôt et ceci sans gêne ni regrets.
” iwantes to succeed because I dropped out of school very early so being a boxer, I have to ensure becoming World champion. ” Clottey went back to a stage in his life when he had to make a choice; a choice he made to box, not because he was mediocre in school but because he wanted to: “I was a brilliant student in school. I was in the top of my class. I was able to finish Junior High School and I understand when people speak English and I respond,” he told Joy News according to Ghanaweb.
According to the words of the Ghanaian star, school is not the only means of education. Life itself is more than a school. He advises, “Even if you finish your master’s degree, you still have to learn in life.” So for him, “Dropping out of school to become a world champion is a bit like having a master’s degree in education. ” He adds, “I am never ashamed having dropped out of school. “
It should be noted that, the boxer has an important professional record. 39 victories including 22 by K.O. for a total of 44 fights. He was IBF welterweight world champion between 2008 and 2009, and ABU African welterweight champion in 2001.
