Beninese skit maker and now singer Axel Merryl achieves a feat with the video music of his song Kimi posted on YouTube on May 6.
Axel Merryl Sofonnou known as Axel Merryl is apparently now a musician. After his first successful song “Ça va péter”, the new singer released a new one 3 weeks ago which is currently a hit.
This new song Kimi, Axel Merryl dedicated it to his muse and reportedly girlfriend, Kim Makosso, General Makosso’s daughter. Kimi is an ode to love, a “dedication to a very beautiful, sincere, natural and highly responsible woman”.
Axel Merryl revealed to the public the music video of Kimi on this May 6th. The video shows a romance that at first seems impossible but which ends up triumphing thanks to persistence and financial success. The famous Ivorian actor and comedian Gohou Michel plays the role of a greedy father-in-law.
This music video has been a hit since then. It has reached 1 million views 18 hours after its release. This May 8, i.e. in 48 hours, the clip exceeds 2 million views.The same video is also the 11th most popular video on YouTube.
Obviously, Axel Merryl is achieving a feat with his new song Kimi. He has just broken and holds the record for the most viewed video music in 24 hours by a singer in the Beninese music industry.
