After three months of absence from social media, Nigerian superstar Davido is back with a new album as he promised.
Since the death by drowning of his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, the Nigerian artist Davido had become increasingly rare on social networks until he completely disappeared from them. He announced his break in a very short tweet last December.
“ See y’all in march 💿”
His fans had been counting down, impatiently day after day. They flooded his tweet with comments from the first day of March.
“We are in March bro😎”
“Is like we the 30BG will storm OBO’s resident for a peaceful demonstration, cos we are tired of waiting for him he should come and address us,march will soon end now”
“You said you’ll see us in march, now you’re deleting post on your instragram. It’s unfair oo, I miss you Idan…”
“The greatness of all time […] it’s march already please give us that hit already the industry is boring without you. The industry is boring without you.»
Davido, a.k.a O.B.O (Omo Baba Olowo), put an end to the wait of his fans on March 22. Upon his return, he posted on his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts the teaser of his new album Timeless which will be available very soon.
“There is a time for everything. A time to Grieve and a time to Heal.
A time to Laugh and a time to Dance. A time to Speak and A time for Silence.
Thank you to everyone out there for your love and support that has held me down. All the love and messages while I was away, the gifts sent, the concerts you all threw! I appreciate it all. Today, I want to remind you all that what is now Timeless, was once new. It’s time for new.
My next album TIMELESS is here, March 31st. ”
There is no need to describe the joy that fans of the Nigerian superstar are feeling!
