Gabonese President Ali Bongo will travel to Egypt on Saturday 5 November 2022. It is part of the 27th Conference of the Parties (COP) which starts on Sunday 6 November. Considered as one of the most involved world leaders in the fight against global warming and for the preservation of the environment, Ali Bongo will take part during three days in the Egyptian capital, in the works of the Cop27.

The Head of State Ali Bongo Ondimba is making a friendly working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday 24 October 2022. With his Emirati counterpart, Emir Mohammed Ben Zayad Al Nahyane, Ali Bongo will mainly address issues of strengthening cooperation between Gabon and the Arab Emirates.

During his working and friendship visit to the United Arab Emirates, the President of the Republic of Gabon is expected to discuss several issues common to both countries. These include issues related to the diversification of the Gabonese economy and the preservation of the environment.

    Mutually beneficial cooperation

This very important trip will also be an opportunity for the Gabonese Head of State, Ali Bongo, to explain his vision for Gabon to the Emirati authorities. This will raise the level of cooperation with this important partner to a higher and mutually beneficial level.

It must be said that the meeting on Monday 24 October in the Arab Emirates is the result of a process that began almost a month ago. The President of the Republic, Ali Bongo Ondimba, met last September in Libreville and New York on the sidelines of the 77th UN General Assembly with the Emissary of the Emir of the United Arab Emirates, Shakboot Nhyan Mubarak Al Nahyan. During this audience, the two personalities expressed the willingness of their respective countries to develop a multiform cooperation in various sectors.
