UNSTIM/Benin: ENSET Lokossa’s training offers revised

By Afro impact Newsroom5 December 2022Updated:19 June 2023
    ENSET Lokossa's training offers revised

The Higher Normal School of Technical Education (ENSET Lokossa) organised a workshop to review its training offers. It was in the conference room of the university centre of Dassa-Zoumè in the presence of several authorities and executives of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training.

The new dynamic that has been established at the National University of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (UNSTIM) of Abomey, headed by Professor Joachim Djimon Gbénou, continues to enhance the image of the various establishments under his responsibility. New perspectives are therefore underway for better results. The main aim is to strengthen the schools and training institutes under the supervision of the said university by updating their training offers. It is for this reason that a workshop on the review and validation of the training offers of the Higher Normal School of Technical Education (ENSET Lokossa) was held in the large conference room of the conference room of the university centre of Dassa-Zoumè on 1st December 2022.

The aim of this workshop is to adapt existing training offers to the realities of the professional world in order to train student-teachers from technical colleges who are capable of effectively accompanying their learners. It is also a question of contributing to the improvement of the training curricula of ENSET Lokossa which lead to the preparation of the BAPET ( Teaching Certificate for Technical Education) in order to meet the expectations of the various target audiences as well as the call for training offers of the MESFTP concerning the sub-sector of technical education

The opening of this workshop was chaired by Professor Edmond Codjo Adjovi, Vice-Rector in charge of Academic Affairs, accompanied by Dr Gustave L. Djedatin, Director of ENSET Lokossa. After the official launching of the activities, a technical committee was set up under the supervision of the Rector of UNSTIM. The preparatory work for this review of ENSET’s training offers will last for three days and will end on 3 December 2022. This will be followed by the validation phase. It should be recalled that this seminar also involves teacher-researchers from ENSET of Lokossa as well as several experts and resource persons whose experiences and opinions will contribute significantly to the achievement of the results of this UNSTIM institution.
