    In Benin, legislative elections are fast approaching. Each of the institutions involved in the organisation of the said election are playing their part to the full for the success of this electoral event. On Tuesday 13 December, the High Authority for Audiovisual and Communication (HAAC) drew lots to determine the order of appearance of political parties in the media.

    Thus, the order of appearance of political parties competing in the public service organs within the framework of the media campaign for the legislative elections of 8 January 2023 is as follows
    1-Movement of Elites Committed to the Emancipation of Benin (MOELE-BENIN) ;

    2-Republican Bloc (RB);

    3- Popular Liberation Movement (MPL) ;

    4-The Democrats (LD);

    5-Cauris Force for an Emerging Benin (FCBE);

    6-Union for the Development of a New Benin (UDBN);

    7- Progressive Union Renewal (UP-R).

    It should also be noted that this order has been established for both the audiovisual and print media. HAAC has initiated two radio and television programs for the benefit of these political parties. One entitled ” The Magazine Speaks to Political Parties ” and the other called ” The Debate ” will allow candidates to address their activists and voters in general. It should be noted that according to the calendar of the National Autonomous Electoral Commission (Céna), the electoral campaign starts on 23 December and ends on 6 January 2023 at midnight.
