Following his viral interpretation of a religious hymn, Boni Yayi is at the heart of a controversy. A Facebook announcement from “La Centrale Company” added fuel to the fire on April 11. Has Boni Yayi officially launched a musical career?

The former Beninese head of state Boni Yayi has been in the news since Saturday 8 April. Following his viral interpretation of a religious hymn, he is making headlines in newspapers, web and on social media. If yesterday Boni Yayi was at the heart of conversations because of his exclusive interview with Bip radio, today he is for another reason. Indeed, it’s a quite surprising Facebook post from Richard Flash’s “La Centrale Company” that has people talking. A few hours earlier, the event planning agency announced that Boni Yayi had signed a contract with them. If the information is true, the former head of state is the new recruit of “La Centrale Company”. This implies that Boni Yayi has officially started a music career.

    “🔴 URGENT BREAKING NEWS.

We are honored to introduce to you the new artist of la Centrale Company, now booked with us… Receive with more likes, more shares and with the honors due to his rank, Dr. @YAYI BONI. Have a great day family.”

    La Centrale Company, page Facebook.

Internet users are taking this announcement with great caution. For some people, the information is verified and perhaps marks the beginning of a beautiful musical career for the former occupant of the “Palais de la Marina”. On the other hand, others see it as a communication stunt and a marketing strategy.

For the time being, Internet users are impatiently waiting for Boni Yayi’s new musical release announced yesterday.

    Anyway, only time will tell.
