Prepared by Transport Intelligence (Ti), Agility Logistics Index is a supply chain company. It is also a leading company that invests in technologies to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the supply chain. For this 13th edition, it aimed to quantify in a first step the preparation for digitisation which allows to examine digital skills, training, internet access, e-commerce growth. Secondly, to assess the investment climate and the ability to foster the development of start-ups. Similarly, sustainability factors such as the renewable energy mix, emissions intensity reduction and green initiatives will be assessed. It is in this vein that Agility CEO Tarek Sultan has stated that “The competitiveness of emerging markets will be determined by their ability to build digitally literate businesses and human resources with a strong commitment to lowering their emissions in a way that promotes growth rather than sacrificing it” (midimadagasikara 09 February 2022).
