Corsair’s Airbus A330-300 made its first flight to Cotonou on Tuesday 08 November 2022. The inaugural flight took place in the presence of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Hervé Hèhomey.
The plane landed at 5:05 pm at Cotonou’s Cardinal Bernardin GANTIN International Airport, coming from Paris-Orly, with the Company’s Chairman and CEO, Pascal De Izaguirre, his staff and 204 passengers on board.
This inaugural flight comes about three (03) months after the authorization given to the French airline Corsair by the Government of Benin and the designation granted by the French Civil Aviation authorities through diplomatic channels.
“I salute and thank the Beninese government teams for their efficient and constructive collaboration, which has enabled the opening of this new line to quickly become a reality. The government’s economic, cultural and tourism development program is very promising. Our mission as an air carrier is to support it by creating the conditions for optimal air connectivity to Benin,” said Pascal De IZAGUIRRE.
As for Philippe Latapie, representative of the French Ambassador to Benin, he is delighted that there is a new economic operator operating in an important sector in the context of relations between France and Benin.
