As a reminder, the Industrial Zone of Glo-Djigbé is a dynamic integrated zone, installed on 1,640 hectares. The ambition of the project is to contribute to the industrialisation of Benin by promoting the local processing of Benin’s natural resources (cotton, cashew nuts, pineapples, shea nuts and soya…) and thus maximise their economic potential. The aim is to create a virtuous ecosystem in order to encourage the emergence of local businesses, job creation and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Benin. The first phase of 400 ha has already been completed with the installation of about 37 companies involved in the textile sector, electric motorbikes, cashew processing, computer assembly, etc.
