In an Instagram video, famous Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze admonished the online beggars who constantly harass him.
Chinedu Ikedieze, a.k.a. Aki, is fed up with the incessant requests for money that pour in his DM. To make his point, he decided to publicly express his dissatisfaction with the situation.
“Guys, I dey vex. I’m not happy. This is getting out of hand. If I open my DM every time all I see is oga, bros, please. How can you people turn my DM to Bank of Industry? “The way you people are begging is as if we [celebrities] don’t have responsibilities.
The actor went on to explain that the cyber-begging is not limited to social media. According to him, several people send similar solicitations to his e-mail address, with quite unbelievable demands.
“If I start sharing the money like that, it will finish. Imagine someone begging me for $35,000, approximately N27 million. Another one was asking me for $12,000 he wants to open a shop.”
Talking about the economic crisis currently striking his country, the 45-year-old actor let Internet users know that they are not the only ones affected. He therefore implored them to refrain from making outrageous financial demands.. Chinedu Ikedieze, 45, didn’t end his rant without letting the internet beggars know that he’s not obliged to help them.
“You guys have made it look like we packed this money somewhere and it is a must that we cater for your needs. No! It is not a must. This economic crunch is biting harder on everybody.”
