In Benin, a new toll booth has just been installed on the Djougou – Natitingou road near Tigninti, in the Atacora department in the north of the country. It will be operational from Monday 13 March. This was announced in a press release dated 06 March 2023 by the General Director of the Road Infrastructure and Land Management Company (SIRAT SA), Ranti Akindes.
In his press release, the CEO of Sirat SA specified the tariffs applicable to vehicles according to their weight. Thus, light vehicles will have to pay 1,000 FCFA per trip, 2-axle trucks 2,000 FCFA per trip and 3-axle trucks 4,000 FCFA per trip. Four-axle trucks will have to pay 6,000 CFA francs per trip, five-axle trucks 8,000 CFA francs per trip and six-axle trucks 10,000 CFA francs per trip. Heavy vehicles with 7 or more axles will pay 18,000 FCFA per trip.
In addition, the SIRAT SA press release stated that the operation of this toll booth on the Djougou – Natitingou axis will be ensured 7 days a week and 24 hours a day.
