At the end of the second return round of the qualifiers played this weekend, the line-ups for the final qualifying round of the 2023 African Cup of Nations for the under-23 age group are now known. The various matches will take place in March 2023 and will determine the 7 qualifiers for the final phase.
Morocco, the host country of the competition, is automatically qualified.
As for Senegal and Mali, they will fight for their qualifying ticket in an exciting derby. The Nigeria-Guinea match promises to be just as exciting.
After eliminating Algeria, DR Congo will face Ghana, while Gabon, after having beaten Madagascar, will be looking for a victory against Cameroon.
Having beaten Tunisia, Congo will face South Africa. Finally, defending champions Egypt will take on Zambia, while Niger, who have just beaten Ivory Coast, will face Sudan, who eliminated Benin.
The final phase of the U23 African Cup of Nations will take place in June 2023. The top three in the competition will secure their ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
