    Morocco-Yemen: Signing of important cooperation agreements in three areas

    Morocco and Yemen further strengthen their diplomatic ties. The two countries signed this Monday, October 3 in Rabat, cooperation agreements that affect the field of training, renewable energy and sport.

    Morocco and Yemen further strengthen their diplomatic ties. The two countries signed this Monday, October 3 in Rabat, cooperation agreements that affect the field of training, renewable energy and sport.

    The signing of cooperation agreements took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bourita, and his Yemeni counterpart, Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak, in official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco.

    Both countries focus on training first

    The first memorandum of understanding signed aims to establish and document cooperation in the field of diplomatic, academic and scientific training for the benefit of officials of both parties.

    This convention stipulates on the one hand, the strengthening of cooperation through the organization of short training sessions in the field of diplomacy and international relations for the benefit of diplomats of both parties.

    On the other hand, this memorandum of understanding aims at the creation of a mechanism of political consultations between the ministries of the two countries, the strengthening of the bilateral cooperation, the establishment of a mechanism of political consultations on the subject of the questions of foreign and international policies of common interest.

    Renewable energies

    This convention will allow both parties to exchange information and experiences regarding policies, legislative systems, preparatory studies and related project submission mechanisms as well as achievements and best practices in the field of renewable energy.

    Through this mechanism, the two parties intend to exchange technical experiences through field visits between specialists and learn about the operation of renewable energy production stations in order to exchange experiences and techniques acquired by each party in this field.

    The field of sports

    In the field of sports, Morocco and Yemen aim through this memorandum of understanding, to strengthen the exchange of experiences and visits of officials, experts and delegations in the field of youth, sports, sports medicine, academies and institutes specializing in the training of technical and sports managers and in the field of sports equipment.

    Based on this agreement, both parties can establish partnerships and twinning between clubs, academies and training institutes of both countries in addition to the use of sports facilities and the organization of training camps.

    Communication, another area of interest for Morocco and Yemen

    The signing ceremony of cooperation agreements between Morocco and Yemen, was also an opportunity for representatives of both parties, to proceed with the signing of the draft implementation plan of the cooperation agreement in the field of communication. The aim will be to strengthen cooperation in the field of press, radio, television and training in the various fields of communication.

    To clarify, this project provides for the establishment of joint radio and television programs, the exchange of programs and music recordings as well as experiences and expertise in the field of the press and art.
