Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia and Senegal, the five representatives of the black continent have delivered friendly matches this Tuesday, September 27. The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia played their first match for the Qatar 2022 World Cup on Tuesday 22 November. They were placed in Group D and took on Denmark. A scoreless match that allowed both teams to earn a point each.

Tunisia, the second African nation after Senegal, entered the competition on Tuesday 22 November. His first match was against Denmark. Wahbi Khazri and his teammates spared no effort to be at the same level as the opponent. Both the Tunisian and Danish sides had chances to put the ball in the net but failed to capitalise. The match ended in a draw.

The Tunisian national team’s midfielder Aïssa Laïdouni was named man of the match by FIFA after an outstanding performance against Denmark.

    New hope for Africa

It must be said that this performance of Tunisia sounds like an insurance for the African continent.

Morocco, the third African country in the competition, plays its first match in group F against Luka Modric’s Croatia on Wednesday 23 November.
