This Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the Houdégbé amphitheatre of the campus of Abomey-Calavi, was held the official launching ceremony of the activities of Titigweti English club. This was in the presence of active club members and several other guests.
Like every year, Titigweti English Club (TEC) unveiled on Tuesday, its action plan for the academic year 2022-2023. The theme of this 26th edition is Character and Discipline: the best ways to raise influential leaders in our society. Indeed, for this edition, the leaders wanted to emphasise the values that characterise a good leader in order to lead the members of the club to be role models in the society.
For Ms Yvette Alavo, co-founder of the NGO Icône 360 and godmother of TEC Best Ladies session, social values and discipline are intrinsic qualities of a good leader in the society. All the performances and reflections from each section: music, comedy, reading, debate and discussion, drama and news, without forgetting the best ladies session, revolved around this same topic.

The event ended with the swearing in of the different members of the club’s board and the handing over of mission letters to the leaders of the different sections. They were all officially assigned to the task and all committed to working towards the smooth running of the club’s activities and the achievement of its objectives.
As a reminder, Titigweti English Club has been working since 1998 to provide a suitable environment for learning and practising the English language to anyone who wishes to express themselves well in English. It is an environment where you not only learn the English language but also meet people who could help you in your professional career. “Titigweti has revealed the hidden potential in me and is gradually changing my life,” said the President of the club in his speech.
