Two new tourist routes linking Paris CDG to Marrakech, and Seville to Casablanca via Tangiers, and the resumption of three direct air routes linking Casablanca to Porto, Tenerife and Luanda. This was announced on Monday 24 October by the national airline. The new program will be effective from the end of this month.
From 31 October 2022, Royal Air Morocco will connect Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to Marrakech. According to a press release from the company, there will be three flights per week (Monday, Thursday and Saturday).
Departure from Marrakech-Menara International Airport will be at 09:15 (local time) for an arrival at CDG Airport at 12:25 (local time). The departure from Paris CDG airport will be programmed at 13:25 and the arrival at 16:45 in Marrakech. The flights will be operated by Boeing B737-800 aircraft with a capacity of around 160 seats.
Two new tourist lines to be launched soon
A new air route linking Casablanca and Tangiers to Seville will satisfy the demand of Spanish and Moroccan tourists as well as Moroccans living in Spain.
According to the Moroccan newspaper La Vie Eco, this line will be operational every Friday and Sunday from 4 December. The departure will be programmed at 16:15 from Mohammed V airport in Casablanca (local time) for an arrival in Tangiers at 17:35. Departure from Tangiers is scheduled for 18:15 for arrival in Seville at 19:10 (local time). Flights depart from Seville at 19:55 and arrive in Tangiers at 21:00 and Casablanca at 23:00 (local time).
Resumption of three suspended lines and timetables unveiled
In the same press release, Royal Air Morocco also announced the reopening of three routes previously suspended due to the Covid 19 health crisis. The company will thus re-establish direct air routes from Casablanca to Porto, Tenerife and Luanda, which will be launched on 9 December.
Royal Air Morocco will resume the Casablanca-Tenerife route with two frequencies per week (Thursday and Saturday). Flights will be programmed to depart from Mohammed V airport in Casablanca at 09:25 (local time), arriving in Tenerife at 11:35 (local time). Departures from this tourist town in the Canary Islands will be at 12:30 for an arrival in Casablanca at 16:15.
The Portuguese-speaking market is also concerned by the strengthening of the flight program. The national company will re-establish, from December 9, 2022, the Casablanca-Porto route with two frequencies per week (Monday and Friday) at 4:15 pm from Casablanca (local time) to arrive in Porto at 4:55 pm (local time). As for the return flights, they will be programmed to depart from Porto at 17:55 for an arrival in Casablanca at 20:30.
As part of the strengthening of Casablanca’s position as an African hub, Royal Air Morocco will reopen the direct Casablanca-Luanda route from 9 December. It will be launched with three frequencies per week: Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from Casablanca and Monday, Thursday and Saturday from Luanda.

Hamid Addou, is the Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Morocco. According to him, with the resumption of traffic, Royal Air Morocco is committed to reinforcing its offer in order to confirm its status as a reference actor of Moroccan tourism and a major airline in Africa.
“We are thus mobilising to consolidate our position in the major tourist-sending markets such as France and Spain and to support our presence in Africa, where our network now includes 27 destinations,” he said in the press release.
