In a post on her Facebook page on Tuesday, Yemi Alade told her fans that she had been in a car accident. The collision occurred on August 17 in Spain, while she was on the road with some members of her team.

“On the 17th of August, we were in a car crash, somewhere between Barcelona and Benicassim in Spain at 12:06(noon). It all happened suddenly,” she wrote.

    More fear than harm

Fortunately, fate was very kind to the artist and her staff. The car accident did almost no damage to Yemi Alade. She emerged from it completely unscathed, except for losing a fingernail. The singer knows she has been lucky and thanked God for keeping her alive.

    After the crash, the show

Anyone who thinks that a brush with death could stop the Queen of Afropop is sadly mistaken. Deeply convinced that “life is for the living“, Yemi Alade has not let this car accident get her down. Seven hours after the incident, the singer rushed back on stage. She certainly gave an epic show as usual for her fans in Spain. Nevertheless, this bold and surprising decision was not without consequences. Yemi Alade said she “experienced a minor medical emergency from exhaustion after performing on stage.”

But that didn’t stop her from having a blast at an after-party that same evening. There’s no doubt she’s a bon vivant.

Fans are full of gratitude for Yemi Alade’s life

Delighted that Yemi Alade has emerged safely from the car accident, her fans have spoken out in the comments. They thanked God for her life and sent her positive vibes, blessings and prayers. She, once again, thanked and reassured them in a new publication.

“Thank you for your messages and calls at this time. My team and I are safe and unharmed . You all are so kind. Stay safe out there.”
