Bouna Sarr, who recently underwent surgery on his knee, is already in psychological shock over his withdrawal from the 2022 World Cup, but his troubles are not over yet. Bayern Munich’s Senegalese international suffered an unfortunate experience on his way back from a family weekend at Munich airport on Sunday. The right-back complains about the treatment he received at customs.

Bouna Sarr is not happy with the way he was treated by customs at Munich airport. The 30-year-old Senegalese player is out of action for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after undergoing knee surgery and has spoken out on the social network Instagram.

“You arrive at the airport, you wait for your luggage, and out of more than 200 passengers, it is on you that they decide to throw a customs dog that climbs your body as if you were a ‘messy’ or a ‘drug dealer’ with simple snaps of the fingers! Then they justify it to you as a simple routine check”, the former player of the Olympic of Marseille denounced on Instagram.

Bouna Sarr deplores discrimination against him

While the Lion caused a scandal, the story did not end there.

“But after my reaction and that of the passengers who witnessed and, for some, shocked by the scene, they prefer to isolate you in a room out of sight and invent offences to better justify that they did not make a mistake! Then, they block you for more than 2 hours to confiscate your valuable properties on the pretext that you are not in order. I will always wonder when we will be able to feel at home too? This really has to stop”, concluded the Lyon native, deploring a form of discrimination.

    Bouna Sarr’s list of achievements

    • African Cup of Nations x1 (2021)
    • Bundesliga x2 (2020/2021, 2021/2022)
    • Ligue 2 BKT x1 (2013/2014)
    • Super Cup x2 (2021/2022, 2022/2023)
